Audit Intern – Summer 2027 | Sensiba LLP
The Tone:
This is a seasonal internship at Sensiba LLP, located in San Ramon, CA, offering an immersive eight-week experience as part of an award-winning program. Sensiba LLP aims to provide hands-on experience while developing crucial technical and professional skills in the accounting industry. This role is instrumental in supporting the efficient execution of audit engagements and delivering high-quality service in financial statement audits and assurance services. Interns will begin building professional relationships, gaining exposure to clients’ accounting practices, risk areas, and compliance requirements, and laying a strong foundation for their career within a firm that emphasizes growth, success, and professionalism. The program includes an on-site week at the San Jose headquarters for immersive training and networking.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Planning & Execution: Assist in the planning and execution of audit engagements under the guidance of senior team members.
• Testing & Compliance: Conduct substantive testing and analytical procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Documentation Preparation: Prepare financial statements, internal controls, and other relevant documentation to support audit findings.
• Collaboration & Improvement: Collaborate with team members to identify areas for improvement and provide constructive recommendations.
• Workpaper Management: Prepare workpapers and documentation to support audit findings.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Candidates must be enrolled at an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a major or emphasis in Accounting, with an expected completion of their bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting between December 2027 and June 2028. This role is designed for individuals beginning to build professional relationships grounded in accounting principles.
• Experience: No specific years of prior professional experience are required for this internship. The role focuses on gaining hands-on experience, learning from and collaborating with experienced team members, and building a foundational understanding of the accounting industry and client practices.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong attention to detail and analytical abilities for evaluating financial data and internal controls; high level of motivation to learn and produce high-quality work in a professional setting; effective interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with colleagues and engaging with a sophisticated client base; clear and professional verbal and written communication skills are necessary for preparing documentation and conveying findings; ability to work flexibly as part of a team to meet periodic and project-based client deadlines.
• Bonus: Minimum accounting GPA of 3.0 preferred; CA CPA eligible.
