The TL;DR

• Pay: $29–$48 hourly
• Mission: Support audit teams in conducting financial statement audits and contributing to client support initiatives to help clients maintain transparency and compliance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Support: Support audit teams in conducting financial statement audits and gaining exposure to auditing methodologies.
• Document Review: Participate in the review and verification of financial documents to uphold transparency and compliance with accounting standards.
• Data Analysis: Assist in the analysis and interpretation of financial data to identify trends and provide insights for decision-making.
• Record Keeping: Engage in the documentation of audit processes and findings to maintain organized and consistent records.
• Standard Application: Learn and apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS) in audit tasks.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. This is an entry-level client service intern role.
• Experience: Candidates are typically in their third year of a four-year degree program or fourth year of a five-year program at the time of application. Must meet the educational requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam in your intended state of employment before starting full-time at PwC.
• Skills: At least a 3.0 overall GPA; foundational understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS); basic data analysis and interpretation skills for financial trends.
• Bonus: Preference for a 3.5 overall GPA; interest in leveraging AI to create efficiencies; prior experience with external audit processes or internal controls.
