The Tone:
This is a temporary, less than six (6) month, internship position at UHY-US, located in Greenwood. UHY is one of the nation’s largest professional services firms, offering audit, tax, consulting, and advisory services primarily to the dynamic middle market. As an Audit Intern, you will gain practical experience in audit and assurance, directly contributing to the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for a diverse clientele. This role offers hands-on exposure to real-world audit engagements, working alongside experienced professionals.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Collaborate: Work with audit teams to perform data entry, prepare documentation, and conduct basic analysis of financial information for audit engagements.
• Execute: Assist in conducting audit procedures, including substantive testing and control testing, and compiling financial data and transactions for analysis.
• Maintain: Support the accurate, organized, and compliant maintenance of audit files and documentation, including the preparation of workpapers and audit reports.
• Learn: Actively engage in training sessions, seek guidance, and utilize audit software and tools to enhance understanding of audit concepts and practices.
• Communicate: Effectively share updates and insights with audit team members, while paying close attention to detail to ensure accuracy and highlight discrepancies.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Possess a High School Diploma or GED or High School equivalent certificate.
• Experience: 0 – 1 year of relevant experience.
• Skills: Ability to perform data entry, prepare documentation, conduct basic financial information analysis, and utilize audit software and tools.
• Bonus: Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
