Job Description: Audit Intern
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain in-depth experience in the auditing profession and learn about the daily responsibilities of an auditor. As an intern, you will:
• Gain hands-on experience: Audit client financials, transactions, and internal control processes.
• Develop analytical skills: Utilize advanced analytics, data visualizations, and process flow automation to analyze client data.
• Work collaboratively: Collaborate with experienced audit professionals and a diverse team to deliver exceptional service.
• Experience diverse engagements: Work on a variety of client engagements, including manufacturing and distribution, not-for-profit, government, healthcare, education, construction, dealerships, food and agriculture, insurance, and financial institutions.
• Contribute to benefit plan audits: Gain experience auditing 401(k), pension, or employee stock ownership plans.
• Embrace a collaborative culture: The team encourages initiative and on-the-job learning opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyzing client financial information and identifying potential issues.
• Preparing audit documentation and reports.
• Assisting with the development and execution of audit procedures.
• Communicating with clients and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in Accounting or similar degree.
• CPA-eligible (150 credit hours) by graduation.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Proficiency with Excel.
• Experience with data analytics (strongly desired).
• Relevant work experience (e.g., internships, summer positions, school jobs).
• Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
• Desire to travel.
Compensation:
The wage range for this internship is $24.00 to $38.00 hourly.
