Assurance Intern – Summer 2027 | BDO USA

The TL;DR

• Pay: $32–$45 hourly
• Mission: Assist in problem solving and fact-finding, working with experienced team members to provide direction, coaching, and learning opportunities.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

What You’ll Actually Do
• Participate in structured training to understand Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
• Apply BDO’s audit methodology to assist with various stages of the audit process.
• Provide various support functions to the audit staff during engagements.
• Communicate with clients’ customers, creditors, banks, and related parties concerning audit issues.
• Prepare and document work in working papers utilizing BDO specific tools and templates.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Accounting.
• Experience: Entry-Level. Actively pursuing school credits to become a CPA.
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work effectively in a team setting, and a positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Bonus: Pursuing a Master’s degree in Accounting; leadership experience.
