What You’ll Actually Do
• Complete assigned portions of audit programs, specifically focusing on areas such as Cash, Accounts Payable, and Property, Plant & Equipment, to support ongoing assurance engagements.
• Conduct single audit testing procedures in accordance with established guidelines and under the direction of managers, contributing to the overall audit process.
• Utilize specialized audit software, including IDEA and F/A solutions, along with general accounting software learned through classwork, to perform data analysis and support various assurance tasks.
• Apply a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, including the proper use of debits and credits and the relationships between various accounts, to analyze and interpret basic financial statements.
• Promptly complete tasks and assignments with a sense of urgency to effectively achieve team and client goals, ensuring timely progression of assurance work.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, having completed or currently pursuing the 150 credit hours typically required for CPA eligibility. This is an entry-level internship position.
• Experience: Possess a GPA of 3.0 or greater. Demonstrate experience with accounting software gained through classwork.
• Skills: Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills crucial for internal team collaboration and client interactions. Possess the ability to work effectively within a team environment, taking direction from multiple managers, and understand the rules, regulations, and professional code of conduct of the AICPA.
• Bonus: Show aspirations to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and develop a long-term career in public accounting, alongside an interest in community involvement.
