What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Procedures: Learn and perform audit procedures to assess the accuracy and completeness of financial statements, examining records and documentation to ensure compliance.
• Internal Controls Evaluation: Assist in evaluating and testing the effectiveness of client internal control systems, collaborating with team members to deliver quality results within client timeframes.
• Client Relationship Building: Build relationships with clients, respond to inquiries, address concerns, and proactively develop ways to better serve their audit needs.
• Financial Statement Analysis: Analyze financial statements and related disclosures to identify material misstatements or discrepancies and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
• Skill and Knowledge Development: Continuously develop auditing skills and knowledge through training, staying updated on standards, and pursuing relevant certifications like the CPA.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics (BS/BA/MSA/MST/Certificate Program), with foundational accounting knowledge (GAAP and GAAS). This is an entry-level position.
• Experience: Minimum GPA of 3.0. Has earned enough units or is close to sitting for the CPA exam, with a demonstrated interest in pursuing or obtaining CPA Educational Licensure.
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a willingness to work in a team environment, and the ability to deliver quality results. Must be compassionate, proactive, authentic, driven, resilient, and a lifelong learner.
