Investment Banking Associate – Vertical Software, Data and Analytics | TD
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at TD, located in New York, NY. This role is crucial for supporting senior team members by providing structure, marketing, and execution activities within the specialized Vertical Software, Data and Analytics Investment Banking sector.

• Team: Vertical Software, Data and Analytics Investment Banking team, working within a deal team under the overall direction of a senior officer.
• Mission: Provide structure, marketing, and execution support to senior members of the Investment Banking team, specializing in Vertical Software, Data and Analytics.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Support Senior Team: Provide structure, transactional, and marketing support to senior team members at a professional and subject matter expert level.
• Conduct Analysis: Research and analyze clients’ financial situations, industry and market data, and mergers and acquisition opportunities.
• Financial Modeling: Perform complex financial and M&A modeling to value private and public companies.
• Prepare Documentation: Prepare external client proposals, internal underwriting memos, and client presentations.
• Lead Junior Staff: Work closely with and oversee junior colleagues to ensure accuracy, and direct, train, and develop staff to meet department objectives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics.
• Experience: 3+ Years of related experience in an investment banking or similar financial role.
• Skills: Active SIE, Series 79 and 63 licenses; proficiency in financial and M&A modeling; strong analytical capabilities for market and industry data; ability to prepare professional client proposals and presentations.
