2027 Supply Chain & Operations Development Program (Starts June 2027) | Wesco

The Tone:
This is an entry-level, 24-month rotational development program at Wesco, a leading global provider of business-to-business distribution, logistics, and supply chain solutions with over 20,000 employees worldwide. Headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, Wesco builds, connects, powers, and protects the world. This program is designed to equip recent graduates with diverse experience across core supply chain functions, preparing them for a full-time leadership role within the company’s critical operations.

• Team: Reports to a Supply Chain leader, supported by a peer mentor
• Mission: Prepare associates for a full-time Supply Chain role within Wesco.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Management: Directly operate and optimize processes within distribution centers and branch locations, gaining hands-on experience in critical daily functions.
• Category Strategy: Develop and implement effective strategies for category management, contributing to product selection and supplier relationships.
• Inventory Optimization: Manage and improve inventory control processes, ensuring efficient stock levels and operational flow.
• Elective Engagement: Gain specialized experience through rotations in areas like Transportation, Advanced Operations & LEAN, Advanced Analytics, or Sustainability & Supplier Diversity.
• Professional Development: Participate in comprehensive program events, including an in-person orientation, virtual leadership training, and a final graduation ceremony with executive leaders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or a business-related field, having graduated within the past 12 months. This is an entry-level position for recent graduates.
• Experience: Have prior internship experience within a business-related field, demonstrating practical application of academic knowledge.
• Skills: Exhibit strong technical and analytical skills, robust organizational and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to effectively multi-task, alongside a result-oriented team player mindset and authorization to work in the United States.
• Bonus: Prior experience working for an industrial distributor, contractor, or supplier, which would provide valuable industry context. Ability to travel between 0% and 25% for program activities or rotations.
