Investment Associate – Special Situations/ Distressed Credit | Long Ridge Partners

What You’ll Actually Do
Support Fund Oversight: Work directly with the Senior PM, providing essential support in overseeing and managing the firm’s comprehensive Global Special Situations Fund, contributing to strategic decision-making.
Conduct Deep Analysis: Execute extensive research and rigorous analysis of complex investment opportunities, evaluating businesses across various geographies for their potential as non-operational control investments.
Identify & Pursue Investments: Proactively seek out and make recommendations for non-operational control investments, spanning distressed credit, stressed credit, opportunistic credit, and private-oriented special situations.
Enable Capital Agility: Facilitate the team’s ability to nimbly allocate patient capital, making informed decisions on deployment between traded credit and private opportunities, and across different geographies to maximize returns.
Maintain Generalist Approach: Operate effectively as a generalist, conducting comprehensive analysis across a diverse range of sectors without specific industry limitations, ensuring a broad investment mandate.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Possess excellent academic credentials, including a Bachelor’s degree or above, with a strong preference for degrees in finance, economics, or mathematics, demonstrating a solid foundational understanding.
• Experience: A total of 2-6 years of professional work experience is required, with a proven background specifically in investment banking, credit, or private equity investing; this must include demonstrated practical experience in conducting thorough research and due diligence, alongside the ability to produce “client ready” investment materials.
• Skills: Exhibit a strong quantitative aptitude for complex financial analysis and modeling, coupled with a high attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in all work outputs.
