The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Jefferies, located in New York, NY or Charlotte, NC. Jefferies is a global investment bank offering a comprehensive suite of services. This Investment Banking Associate position within the Real Estate Gaming & Lodging (REGAL) Group is essential for delivering advisory and capital markets solutions to clients across the Real Estate industry. The role involves rapidly assuming significant responsibilities and provides direct interaction with senior executive management teams.

• Mission: Own the pitching for and execution of advisory and capital markets transactions for clients in the Real Estate industry
What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare and participate in the delivery of client presentations.
• Compile a variety of financial analyses, including valuation, pro forma, and three statement operational models.
• Draft private and public marketing materials, such as offering memoranda and S-11 registration statements.
• Lead drafting sessions and prepare and manage the delivery of internal deal memos.
• Analyze business plans and participate in due diligence sessions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Master’s in business administration or an undergraduate degree.
• Experience: Either 1-3+ years of investment banking experience as an Associate (with an MBA), or 3+ years of Real Estate investment banking experience, most recently as an Associate (with an undergraduate degree). Must have past experience working in a Real Estate Group or with Real Estate sector clients. Candidates must currently reside in New York City or Charlotte, or be willing to relocate to either location.
• Skills: Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills; familiarity with investment banking modeling concepts; ability to manage a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously; ability to coordinate and direct workflow of analysts on multiple projects simultaneously; resourceful self-starter capable of working autonomously and as a team player.
