Senior Associate, Corporate Development | Hut 8
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Hut 8, located in Miami, Florida. Hut 8 builds and operates large data centers for next-generation computing workloads, including AI, Colocation, Cloud, and Bitcoin Mining. This role supports the Head of Corporate Finance, playing a key part in evaluating and executing strategic and financial initiatives, including financing, investment opportunities, joint ventures, and M&A. The person in this role will gain direct exposure to high-priority corporate development initiatives and collaborate with senior leadership on strategic financial decisions.

• Mission: This person supports the Head of Corporate Finance in evaluating and executing strategic and financial initiatives across AI, advanced computing, and energy.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain detailed financial and operating models to evaluate data center developments, GPU procurement, and infrastructure investments.
• Scenario Analysis: Conduct analysis of alternative capital structures, financing scenarios, lease vs. buy options, and sensitivity cases.
• Deal Execution: Participate in the full transaction process, from initial screening and financial evaluation through due diligence, structuring, and closing.
• Valuation Management: Manage valuation workstreams, including DCF, comparable company/transaction analysis, and unit economics modeling for high-performance computing (HPC) assets.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with internal teams and external advisors to ensure seamless transaction execution and manage due diligence processes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, with a solid understanding of corporate finance principles and transaction mechanics.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in investment banking (TMT, Digital Infrastructure, or Power/Energy groups), private equity, infrastructure funds, or a corporate development role within the tech or utility sector.
• Skills: Strong financial modeling capabilities, clear verbal and written communication skills, highly organized with strong attention to detail, and good problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: Familiarity with or a strong interest in the economics of data centers, AI compute infrastructure, power constraints, and cloud ecosystems.
