Associate – Healthcare M&A | Ziegler
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Ziegler, located in New York, NY. Ziegler is a privately held investment bank, capital markets, and proprietary investments firm specializing in healthcare, senior living, and education sectors, aiming to generate a positive impact on communities. This role is crucial for leading the analytical work that supports new business development and transaction execution. The Associate will also assist senior bankers in delivering valuable investment banking products and services to clients and prospects, building fundamental skills in valuation, business strategy, and client communication.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Valuation: Lead valuation analysis and financial modeling for prospective and live transactions.
• Presentation Development: Assist in developing and producing proposals and presentations for clients and prospects.
• Transaction Execution: Execute detailed tasks involved in all phases of M&A and private placement engagements.
• Financial Analysis: Serve as the lead in providing financial, business, and market analysis, with an emphasis on reformatting financial statements and benchmarking key performance metrics.
• Team Management: Manage the workflow and provide coaching to junior team members.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related analytical field.
• Experience: Minimum of three years of investment banking experience, ideally in an M&A role, with significant transaction experience.
• Skills: Strong quantitative and analytical skills including valuation and financial modeling, high-level accounting knowledge and proficiency in 3-statement financial analysis, and outstanding interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Bonus: Masters preferred.
