Associate Director – Clinical Command Center (Non-Clinical Administration) | Mount Sinai Health System

The Tone:

What You’ll Actually Do
• Oversees: Oversees all daily administrative and business operations for the Clinical Command Center logistics, using data and fact-based problem-solving techniques to improve processes and outcomes.
• Ensures: Ensures that all operations within clinical admitting, system throughput, transfer center, and telemedicine run efficiently for optimal patient service delivery.
• Coordinates: Plans and coordinates departmental and system projects, maintains standard operating procedures, and recommends solutions for operational workflows to senior leadership.
• Develops: Develops and maintains effective working relationships with other departments throughout the health system to improve communication and throughput operations.
• Manages: Provides leadership for staff members through ongoing training, performance feedback, goal setting, and problem resolution, while assisting in hiring, onboarding, and performance appraisals.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare administration, business (healthcare), public health administration, or a related field. This is a progressive managerial role.
• Experience: 5+ years of progressive managerial experience in a professional healthcare business environment, a large hospital, or a health system.
• Skills: Operational oversight, Process improvement, Project coordination, Regulatory compliance, Staff management, Financial analysis.
• Bonus: Master’s degree (MHA, MBA, MPH or related) highly preferred; Knowledge of EPIC preferred; Intermediate Microsoft Suite proficiency.
