Associate, Strategic Development | Creative Artists Agency
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Creative Artists Agency (CAA), located in Los Angeles, California. CAA is a leading entertainment and sports agency with global expertise across various sectors including filmed and live entertainment, digital media, and consumer investing. This Associate role is a highly visible position within the Strategic Development group, providing in-house advisory services to CAA’s executive leadership. The individual in this role will contribute directly to the company’s growth by evaluating and executing investment opportunities within the consumer brand ecosystem, leveraging a collaborative culture to identify and amplify opportunities that shape culture.

• Pay: $115000–$135000 yearly
• Team: Reports to the Head of Consumer Investing, within the Strategic Development group.
• Mission: This person will evaluate and execute investment opportunities, conducting due diligence and structuring deals for clients working with consumer brands.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Investment Execution: Conduct thorough due diligence and execute strategic investment opportunities.
• Financial Modeling: Build comprehensive financial models, including bottoms-up financial statements and detailed valuation analyses.
• Strategic Communication: Create and present precise investment, strategy, and deal memos and analyses to leadership.
• Market Analysis: Conduct detailed sector analyses covering market sizing, competitive landscapes, and emerging trends.
The Must-Haves
• Background: A preferred Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related discipline, complemented by direct experience in the consumer brand, consumer retail, or CPG sectors.
• Experience: At least 2 years of work experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate strategy roles.
• Skills: Strong financial modeling capabilities for highly quantitative analyses, excellent oral and written communication skills, and an independent perspective on investment risks and rewards.
• Bonus: An understanding of and interest in pop-culture and trends, alongside a passion for the media, entertainment, and sports industries.
