Associate Consultant, Private Equity, Strategic Transformation | Chartis
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Chartis, located remotely or in Chicago, IL or New York, NY. Chartis is a healthcare advisory firm with over 1,450 professionals, partnering with more than 1,900 organizations annually to develop and activate transformative strategies. The Associate Consultant is an integral team member, planning and managing distinct segments of work to help institutional investors and their portfolio companies unlock unique value across the healthcare investment lifecycle. This role directly contributes to Chartis’ mission of making US healthcare more affordable, accessible, safe, and human.

• Team: Works under the direction of Engagement Managers and Consultants within the Private Equity Advisory Practice.
• Mission: To effectively plan and manage distinct segments of work, collaborating with the Private Equity Advisory Practice to uncover and realize unique value for healthcare institutional investors and their portfolio companies.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Analytic Definition: Define analytic approaches, integrate multiple analyses, and develop an analytic understanding of client problems to identify issues and opportunities.
• Data Management: Gather and refine complex data sets and data sources to enable accurate and robust quantitative analyses.
• Solution Contribution: Provide insight into hypotheses under consideration and contribute to the team’s understanding of client problems and potential solutions.
• Project Delivery: Support the consulting team by delivering against commitments on time.
• Client Communication: Create elegant, multi-issue client communications, present analytic findings and recommendations, and field client questions with minimal support.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Others. An advanced degree (e.g., MHA, MPH) is preferred, combined with highly knowledgeable about the healthcare landscape, current trends, and a genuine commitment to healthcare transformation.
• Experience: 2+ years with a strategy consulting, strategic planning/corporate strategy group, or private equity/venture capital firm. Demonstrated strong project management skills with experience working on multiple work streams.
• Skills: Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, critical thinking, succinct communication, data manipulation and synthesis, and collaboration.
• Bonus: Advanced degree (MHA, MPH), flexibility to travel as required, and ability to respond well to change and work effectively under pressure.
