What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze Companies: Conduct detailed financial analysis on individual, public, and/or privately held companies to assess investment opportunities, focusing on specific client coverage.
• Design Reports: Design custom reports for the Firm’s investment committee and/or portfolio companies, outlining the considerations and risks of a particular investment.
• Build Relationships: Engage with management at companies to build relationships and coordinate information requests needed for analysis.
• Manage Portfolios: Assist in ongoing investment or portfolio management duties, including quarterly valuations, assessing needs for future capital, and evaluating exit opportunities.
• Research Trends: Research and develop expertise around various trends, themes, and business models across financial technology, and produce presentation materials for investment discussions.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum qualification is a Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a relevant field. Alternatively, candidates with a Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a relevant field are also considered.
• Experience: One (1) year of experience in the job offered or a related investment banking position is required for candidates with a Master’s degree. For those with a Bachelor’s degree, three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related investment banking position is necessary. This prior employment must include specific expertise in developing and reviewing various financial models, producing client reports based on market data analyses, analyzing company data, performing credit analysis, and executing debt/equity financing and M&A transactions.
• Skills: Developing and reviewing comprehensive financial models such as operating models, M&A, DCF, and LBO analyses. Producing detailed client reports utilizing market data analyses from electronic sources like Bloomberg, FactSet, and Capital IQ. Analyzing diverse company data, including strategic operating plans, live transaction documentation, regulatory filings, and annual reports. Performing thorough credit analysis, encompassing a company’s financial position, historical cash flow evaluation, and assessing debt maturity profiles. Executing debt and equity financing transactions, including Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), alongside public and private M&A (buy-side and sell-side) transactions. Liaising effectively with rating agencies and capital market specialists for structuring, pricing, and distribution of structured notes and asset-backed loans. Presenting insights to senior management and board members on corporate strategy and financing alternatives. Proficiently leveraging market data applications and Microsoft Excel, including Pivot tables for large datasets and V-lookups to streamline processes and manage risk.
