What You’ll Actually Do
Transaction Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis on individual, public, and/or privately held companies to accurately assess potential secondary transaction opportunities, specifically those executed for financial sponsors and other financial institutions.
Strategic Consultation: Review financial reports, statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide informed advice to clients on potential transactions, designing custom reports that outline specific benefits and considerations against bespoke client objectives.
Client and Company Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with investment team members at clients and management at their underlying companies, efficiently coordinating the gathering of necessary information for thorough analysis.
Investor and Fund Management: Produce detailed fund level analyses to project potential returns for limited partners and other investors based on bespoke equity waterfalls, while also engaging with potential investors in secondary transactions through outreach and marketing discussions.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise with and coordinate other transaction advisors, including lawyers, accountants, consultants, and valuation experts, to ensure a seamless and efficient process on behalf of clients.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, International Economics and Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Two (2) years of prior employment experience in a related role, specifically with developing and reviewing financial models (including operating models, mergers and acquisitions, discounted cash flow, or leveraged buyout), analyzing company data (strategic operating plans, live transaction documentation, regulatory filings, annual reports), and preparing bespoke fund level financial models showing gross and net investor returns based on proposed equity waterfalls (including management fees and carried interest).
• Skills:
• Advanced financial modeling expertise, encompassing operating, M&A, discounted cash flow, and leveraged buyout scenarios.
• Proficient analysis of comprehensive company data, including strategic plans, transaction documents, and public disclosures.
• Specialized ability in creating fund level financial models that accurately reflect investor returns with complex equity waterfalls.
• Demonstrated skill in utilizing private markets data sources like Preqin and PitchBook for market trend analysis and information sourcing.
• In-depth understanding of private placement rules within the US (federal and state levels) and key international jurisdictions, combined with knowledge of limited partnership agreement terms impacting returns and risk.
