The Tone:
This is a full-time role at DM Coatings, a division of McCarl’s LLC. DM Coatings specializes in industrial painting and coatings, providing essential services in construction and manufacturing. This position is vital for supporting industrial coating projects from the initial bid through to completion, playing a key role in developing estimates and managing project schedules. • Tech Stack: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Bluebeam or estimating software (helpful but not required)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Assist in preparing bids, take-offs, and proposals for industrial coating projects.
• Support project managers in developing manpower and equipment schedules.
• Help track project costs, productivity, and prepare progress reports.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and coordinate communications with clients, field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Follow DM Coatings safety policies and assist in maintaining compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate degree, technical certification, or relevant experience in construction, coatings, or manufacturing.
• Experience: Hands-on work experience (field, shop, or site-based) is strongly preferred. Motivated entry-level candidates are welcome; 1-3 years of related work experience is a plus. The ability to travel for extended overnight stays for assigned project locations may be required.
• Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Bonus: Ability to read basic construction drawings and documents. Familiarity with Bluebeam or estimating software.
