Assistant Project Manager Intern | Superior

The Tone:
This is an internship at Superior, located directly on a jobsite in Columbus, Ohio, for the Fall 2026 term. Superior is a national leader in electrical design and construction, powering diverse projects from hospitals and data centers to stadiums and beyond. This role offers highly motivated students hands-on experience and professional development in managing complex electrical projects. You will gain significant exposure to active jobsites and learn the intricacies of keeping construction projects on track.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Temporary (Fall 2026: September – December)
• Location: Columbus, OH
• Pay: $25 hourly
• Team: Project Operations team
• Mission: Support the Project Operations team in keeping active electrical design and construction projects moving forward on a jobsite.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Management: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including construction drawings, RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes, ensuring all information is current.
• Meeting Support: Document weekly project owner’s meetings, capturing key discussions and crucial decisions to ensure project alignment.
• Process Coordination: Assist the project team with critical processes such as managing the project permit application and distributing the project schedule to relevant stakeholders.
• Site Safety: Support the project team by aiding in the compilation and coordination of essential site safety documentation and efforts.
• Project Closeout: Help facilitate project closeout procedures, including generating project punch lists and compiling necessary final documentation.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Construction Management or a related field.
• Experience: Academic coursework or projects related to construction processes, project documentation, or schedule management.
• Skills: Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration; ability to identify and solve problems efficiently; strong organizational skills and attention to detail for prioritization; ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion with sensitive information.
