Assistant Branch Operations Manager I | Bank of Colorado
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Bank of Colorado, located in the Fort Collins area, CO. Bank of Colorado is a regional financial institution dedicated to providing comprehensive banking products and services to its customers. This role is essential for supporting the overall operations of a branch, assisting management, and guiding retail personnel to deliver excellent service and meet strategic goals.
The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Type: Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm. Rotating Saturday hours at the Harmony location in Fort Collins from 9am – 12pm.
• Location: In-person, Fort Collins area, CO
• Pay: $24–$29 hourly
• Team: Reports to Operations Manager; assists with supervision of retail branch personnel.
• Mission: Oversee daily branch operations, ensure policy compliance, and support retail staff to achieve customer service and financial goals.
• Tech Stack: Computer terminals, printers, back counter capture machine, coin machine, copier
What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Oversight: Oversee day-to-day branch operations and assist in ensuring bank policy and procedures are followed.
• Staff Supervision: Assist with supervising employees to meet branch goals, including assigning work, scheduling, conducting performance reviews, recommending salary actions, and providing training.
• Customer Service: Perform personal banking duties, including advising customers on bank services, opening new accounts, performing teller functions, answering inquiries, and closing accounts.
• Compliance & Reporting: Assist with budget preparation, review reports, audit board, and NSFs, and ensure branch compliance with bank policies and guidelines.
• Community Engagement: Promote bank services and participate in various professional and personal activities within the community.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager-level professional with a high school graduate or equivalent education. Possesses full knowledge of banking products, services, operations, and applicable banking regulations.
• Experience: Work experience that demonstrates effective abilities to supervise a department.
• Skills: Skill in communicating with clients and co-workers in a courteous and professional manner; operating computer terminals, printers, back counter capture machine, coin machine, and copier; maintaining a high level of confidentiality; training employees; ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and customer service.
• Bonus: Prefer 2-3 years related banking experience.
