Assistant General Manager | Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurants

The Tone:
This is a leadership role for an Assistant General Manager at Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurants, working in-person. Cooper’s Hawk builds a lifestyle brand centered around a Napa-style tasting room, wine-inspired retail, and a full-service restaurant with a scratch kitchen. The company also operates a thriving Wine Club program, noted as one of the largest in the world. This role is crucial for leading high-volume operations, ensuring exceptional shift execution, and providing leadership and development to both management and hourly team members. The Assistant General Manager partners closely with the General Manager to achieve restaurant goals and expand the vibrant Wine Club Community.

• Team: Leads a management team and hourly team members, reporting to the General Manager.
• Mission: Ensures exceptional restaurant operations, high food and service standards, and the growth of the Wine Club Community.
• Tech Stack: POS systems, scheduling software, inventory systems, Microsoft Office.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Management: Oversee all restaurant operations, including Service and Tasting Room, and approve front-of-house schedules in a timely manner.
• Service Standards: Ensure consistent execution of food and service standards during shifts and that all operating policies and systems are followed.
• Team Development: Participate in hourly Team Member hiring and onboarding, train team members on Cooper’s Hawk standards, and oversee training for Managers in Development and Lead Restaurant Trainers.
• Financial Performance: Assist with weekly inventory procedures, conduct inventory audits, support financial reporting, and maximize operational results through effective planning and execution.
• Wine Club Growth: Build and maintain the Wine Club Community by ensuring Team Members are trained to educate and invite Guests, contributing to restaurant targets.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Supervisory experience in a full-service restaurant environment.
• Experience: 3-4 years of supervisory experience in a full-service restaurant. Preferred experience includes working in a scratch kitchen environment.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication in English, demonstrated financial acumen, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and a results-driven approach to coaching teams for targets like Wine Club Community growth.
• Bonus: Preferred certifications include ServSafe and any applicable state/local licensing requirements.
