• Team: Directs Accounts Receivables management teams including operations managers and accounting clerks, and partners with the Director of Finance & Operations and departmental leadership.
• Mission: Owns the operational leadership and direct management of the Professional Services Central Billing Office (CBO) and provides operational oversight for OB/GYN practice sites to optimize revenue cycle and practice efficiency.
What You’ll Actually Do
• CBO Leadership: Direct the operations of the Professional Services Central Billing Office (CBO) with a primary focus on accounts receivable management, driving improved collection rates and total revenue.
• Process Development: Develop and implement new processes to streamline and automate AR follow-up and insurance verification, aiming to reduce days in accounts receivable (DIAR).
• Operational Standardization: Provide comprehensive operational oversight and lead the development and implementation of standardized clinical and administrative workflows across all OB/GYN practice sites.
• Team Management: Directly manage Accounts Receivables management teams, including operations managers and accounting clerks, overseeing their performance, recruitment, and training.
• Strategic Partnership: Serve as a key operational thought partner to the Director of Finance & Operations and departmental leadership, supporting department growth initiatives and managing financial stewardship.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
• Experience: 4-6 years of progressive healthcare operations experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
• Skills: Accounts Receivable (A/R) management, Central Billing Office (CBO) operations, process improvement, analytical support for open receivables and payer denials, workflow standardization, performance management, and staff leadership.
• Bonus: Master’s degree preferred, 1-3 years experience in an academic medical center or large health system highly preferred, background in OB/GYN, Women’s health, or a related field preferred.
