Job Description: Artificial Intelligence & Data Engineering Summer Scholar
This is a summer internship opportunity for students who are graduating in Spring/Summer 2026. The role ends in December 2024.
Job Summary:
As an Artificial Intelligence & Data Engineering Summer Scholar, you’ll be a crucial member of a client service team, working directly with clients and Deloitte leaders. You will be responsible for applying innovative AI technologies and data-driven strategies to solve complex business challenges and generate value for clients across various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support strategic business transformation through the application of advanced analytics and artificial intelligence.
• Develop machine learning models and implement AI-driven processes.
• Craft innovative AI applications for enhancing business operations.
• Implement large-scale data projects for business and IT transformation.
• Design and run data and analytics solutions as part of a DevOps team.
• Formulate and execute a technology strategy leveraging AI and data to meet executive-level business objectives.

The Team:
Deloitte Consulting plays a vital role in directly embedding technology insights into their clients’ organizational goals. They design, create, implement, and deploy solutions to drive value for clients while also prioritizing resource development and community involvement.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Math, or a related field, completed by Spring/Summer 2026.
• Experience with data processing and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Informatica, Power BI).
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Strong academic track record (3.0 cumulative GPA required, 3.3 cumulative GPA preferred).
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
• Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment.
Compensation:
The wage range for this role is $41/hour, taking into account factors like skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and business needs.

The Summer Scholar training program covers technical skills, professional behaviors, standards, and mindsets. You will also gain valuable real-world experience working on client engagements with talented consulting professionals.
