Job Description: Architectural Intern (Summer 2023)
This is an entry-level internship for current architecture students (fourth or fifth year preferred) interested in a career in architecture. The internship is part of Beck’s 2023 Summer Internship Program and is available across all their offices.
Essential Functions: The intern will assist with various aspects of architectural design and production under general supervision. Responsibilities may include:
• Assisting in design rendering
• Assisting in producing graphics and presentations for clients
• Generating renderings using various technologies
• Assisting in the preparation of construction documents
• Participating in owner meetings
• Assisting in the preparation of meeting minutes
• Learning and understanding the design process
• Participating in the Intern Design Competition
• Working in a team environment
Required Skills and Experience:
• High school or college/university student (fourth or fifth-year students preferred)
• Experience with Revit and SketchUp is preferred
• Willingness to learn and be mentored
• Passion for completing tasks with integrity
• Interest in integrated project delivery and innovative process improvement/technology
Physical Demands: The job involves frequent computer use, client meetings, communication with the project team, adherence to architectural design and production best practices, and consistent attendance. It may require travel or colocation, walking, and carrying items up to 10 lbs.
