About the Job Description

CRB is seeking an Architectural Designer Intern for an immersive internship experience. This program offers an opportunity to engage in real-world project work, learn from industry leaders, and fully experience the CRB employee culture. It is designed for interns to grow, innovate, and make a tangible impact by working hands-on with cutting-edge projects, collaborating with peers and leaders, and contributing unique perspectives for meaningful change. Key Contributions of an Architectural Designer Intern:

• Working under the guidance of an assigned mentor to develop and implement project deliverables.
• Assisting with 3D modeling and design.
• Conducting field investigations.
• Performing red-to-black markup/review tasks.
• Producing various discipline deliverables such as floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, finish plans, interior and exterior elevations and sections, schedules, and installation details, all in adherence to CRB’s VDC standards.
• Working on a variety of architectural assignments, potentially on multiple projects concurrently, and collaborating closely with architectural staff to ensure accurate and efficient completion of tasks.

Core Responsibilities Include:

Developing project documents (e.g., calculations, reports, construction drawings, specifications) for clients, ensuring coordination with regulatory bodies and industry standards.
Assisting with the development of conceptual designs and coordinating with the design team under the direction of the project team lead.
Coordinating with other disciplines and both internal and external team members, including vendors, clients, and contractors.

Required Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).
• A strong interest in the Food & Beverage or Life Sciences industry is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
• Willingness to communicate and collaborate effectively with multiple disciplines and various internal and external stakeholders (vendors, clients, and contractors).
• Eagerness to learn about the AEC industry and apply academic knowledge to real-world engineering applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D collaboration tools such as Navisworks, BIM360 Suite, and Assemble.
• Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards within the AEC industry.
• Prior internship or co-op experience in Architecture or a related field.
