Job Description: Application Engineer/Application Engineering Coordinator Internship/Part-time

Job Title: Application Engineer/Application Engineering Coordinator Internship/Part-time
Location: Eastern U.S. or Canada (Remote, may require travel to CA or TX)
Employment Type: Internship/Part-time, with potential for extension and future full-time growth opportunities post-graduation.
Hours: Minimum 15-20 hours/week (desire 40 hours/week).
Visa Sponsorship: Not provided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Edit and refine customer-facing technical documents to ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.
• Gather and analyze market information, providing insightful analysis to support business decisions.
• Develop application tools to facilitate daily engineering support.
• Assist in understanding and applying industry certifications and standards to projects and processes.
• Support technical documentation matrix during project support.
• Utilize data analysis skills to effectively interpret technical and market data.
• Develop a professional understanding of electrical engineering or systems engineering principles.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow as an expert in the energy storage industry.

Minimum Requirements:

GPA: 3.0 or above.
Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Passion: Exhibit a passion for renewable energy and a commitment to sustainable technology solutions.

Education or Desired License and Certificates:

• Currently pursuing a Master’s (or Doctorate) degree from a top 50 engineering college in the U.S. or Canada.

Competencies:

Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and Visio.
Technical Interpretation: Comfortable interpreting technical documents and schematics, including structure drawings, SLDs (Single Line Diagrams), etc.
Coding Skills: Basic coding skills; knowledge of Visual Basic, Python, and MATLAB preferred.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Language: Speaking Chinese is a plus.
Learning Agility: Ability to quickly learn new tools and software.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical data.
Experience: Experience in renewable energy, energy storage, battery cells, or solar energy is a plus.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for editing and generating technical documents.
Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Initiative: Self-starter, strong initiatives, and an excellent communicator.
Mindset: System and product level mindset.

Travel:

• Maximum 5% travel may be required.

Work Location and Status:

• Remote in Canada or U.S. Eastern Time Zone.
• May need to travel to CA or TX pending business needs.
• No visa sponsorship is available for this position.
