App Delivery Intern | SoTalent

The Tone:
This is a full-time (during summer) and part-time (during academic terms) hybrid internship at a client of SoTalent, located in Sussex, WI. The client’s Global Infrastructure Services team is dedicated to managing the complete lifecycle of IT infrastructure systems, core software platforms, and automation processes. This role is crucial for an intern to gain hands-on experience with modern application virtualization, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise systems, while providing direct exposure to real-world business workflows. The internship offers mentorship and structured guidance, supporting the application delivery and business systems team in planning, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise platforms.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations: Support daily operations of IT infrastructure and application delivery systems.
• Collaboration: Work alongside experienced team members to expand responsibilities and skills.
• System Support: Maintain virtualization platforms, system configurations, and enterprise applications.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Optimization: Assist in the continuous maintenance and optimization of infrastructure environments.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student currently pursuing a degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Experience: Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Skills: Basic knowledge or interest in Windows and Linux operating systems, virtualization technologies, Active Directory and system administration concepts, IT security practices, and software lifecycle management.
• Bonus: Exposure to scripting or programming (e.g., PowerShell, Python, VB Script); curiosity and interest in applying technology to solve real-world business challenges.
