What We Look For In an AP Environmental Science Tutor

  • Familiarity with the AP Environmental Science curriculum across its nine units and common student challenges (e.g., calculating ecological footprints, distinguishing point from nonpoint pollution, analyzing free-response data).
  • Ability to adapt instruction using real-world field study examples, current environmental news, and AP-style practice questions to support students with varying science backgrounds and interdisciplinary learning needs.
• Effective Teaching Methods:
  • Ability to identify common student struggles and explain material using diverse approaches.
  • Capacity to adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
