Analyst / Senior Analyst, Commercial Analysis | Madison Energy Infrastructure
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Madison Energy Infrastructure, located in New York, NY. Madison Energy Infrastructure develops, invests in, and operates distributed generation clean energy infrastructure projects across over 25 states. This role supports critical investment decisions, financial modeling, and commercial strategy across a renewable energy portfolio, ensuring disciplined capital deployment in a growing sector.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Investment Analysis: Evaluate investment opportunities across solar, wind, and energy storage assets.
• Market Intelligence: Track and evaluate market rule changes, regulatory developments, and policy updates impacting project economics.
• Financial Modeling: Build, maintain, and refine financial models for renewable generation, standalone storage, and hybrid projects.
• Diligence Support: Assist with diligence for project acquisitions and new development opportunities.
• Strategy Development: Support commercial strategy related to offtake structures, market participation, and risk management.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in economics, engineering, finance, mathematics, or a related quantitative field. The level is Analyst (0-2 years) or Senior Analyst (2+ years).
• Experience: 0-2 years (Analyst) or 2+ years (Senior Analyst) of relevant experience in renewable energy, investment analysis, financial modeling, or energy consulting.
• Skills: Strong financial modeling skills, comfort working with large datasets, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to synthesize complex analysis into clear, decision-oriented recommendations.
• Bonus: Experience with renewable energy transactions, offtake agreements, or project finance; familiarity with U.S. wholesale electricity markets and ISO/RTO market structures; or experience with market forecasting tools like Aurora, PLEXOS, Enverus, or Wood Mackenzie.
