Analyst | Stockdale Capital Partners LLC

The Tone:
This is a full-time, in-person Analyst role at Stockdale Capital Partners LLC, with options to be based in the firm’s West LA, Manhattan, or Dallas office. Stockdale Capital Partners is a vertically integrated real estate investment firm with a 30-year history of investing in commercial real estate across asset classes throughout the U.S., currently managing over $3 billion in assets under management. This position is important for supporting senior management in the evaluation and execution of acquisitions and developments, contributing to all aspects of the deal process. What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Modeling: Build and maintain detailed financial models utilizing Excel and Argus for acquisition and development projects, incorporating various scenarios and sensitivity analyses.
• Capital Structuring: Assist in negotiations with lenders and investors through the analysis of different capital structures and cash flow distribution waterfalls.
• Market Research: Perform in-depth research on real estate markets, comparable properties, and potential development sites.
• Due Diligence: Manage due diligence processes, including the analysis and review of market data, financial statements, development budgets, third-party reports, and legal documentation.
• Presentation Preparation: Prepare presentations and materials for the investment committee, investors, and lenders.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Excellent undergraduate academic record with basic knowledge of real estate finance, valuation, and capital markets.
• Experience: 1-2 years of work experience in a transaction-oriented real estate role (e.g., private equity, acquisitions, development, investment sales) or an advanced financial role (e.g., investment banking, management consulting, Big 4 accounting).
• Skills: Aptitude for financial modeling, research, and underwriting investments; strong critical thinking with resourceful problem-solving skills; meticulous attention to detail; superior organizational skills; and thoughtful presentation and communication abilities.
• Bonus: Experience with Argus, and a self-motivated, proactive approach suited to an entrepreneurial and collaborative culture.
