Investment Banking Analyst, Energy – Houston | Santander

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support: Prepare pitch books, client presentations, and transaction materials for deal execution.
• Analyze: Perform detailed valuation analysis, including discounted cash flow, trading comparables, transaction comparables, and LBO analysis.
• Coordinate: Manage due diligence processes and coordinate across internal teams and client counterparties.
• Research: Conduct in-depth industry and company research to support origination and client strategy.
• Participate: Actively engage in client meetings and deal discussions, contributing to live transactions and developing strategic insights.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, STEM, or a related field.
• Experience: 1-3 years of Investment banking experience, or 1–3 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, accounting/audit, or within the energy or infrastructure sector, with energy experience preferred.
• Skills: Strong understanding of corporate finance and investment banking products; advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including financial modeling and valuation; high ownership mindset; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bonus: FINRA licenses (SIE, Series 63, Series 79) or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
