Business Development Analyst | Audax Group

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Audax Group, located in Boston, MA. Audax Group is a leading alternative investment manager with approximately $42 billion of assets under management and over 475 employees, operating through three business lines: Audax Private Equity, Audax Private Debt, and Audax Strategic Capital. This position plays an integral part in supporting Audax’ Buy & Build strategy by ensuring the integrity and analysis of deal data. The analyst will serve as a critical data and reporting resource, partnering across investment, operations, and portfolio teams to deliver actionable intelligence from pipeline insights.

What You’ll Actually Do
• CRM Data Management: Manage new deal data within Audax’s proprietary CRM system, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all pipeline records, and assist in maintaining CRM workflows, data structures, and field configurations.
• Data Governance & Quality: Identify and escalate data quality issues, collaborating with investment professionals and internal stakeholders to close data gaps, support governance standards, and help develop and maintain documentation for CRM workflows.
• Pipeline Reporting & Visualization: Produce and distribute weekly, monthly, and quarterly pipeline reports, synthesizing deal flow trends and activity metrics, and help build and maintain dashboards and visualizations for pipeline status and velocity.
• Strategic Data Analysis: Conduct pipeline data analysis to surface patterns, sector trends, and origination insights that inform the firm’s investment strategy, and support ad hoc analytical requests from deal teams and firm leadership.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Investment, Finance, Business Solutions, Legal, and Portfolio Operations teams to ensure alignment of deal data, definitions, and workflows across functions.
• Business Development Initiatives: Support the execution of business development initiatives, including market mapping, target identification, and intermediary relationship tracking, and contribute to the evaluation and implementation of technology enhancements.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a data, operations, or analytical function with demonstrated experience managing and improving CRM systems. Salesforce proficiency is required.
• Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, dynamic data modeling) and strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to build clear, executive-level presentations from complex data sets.
• Bonus: Experience with Power BI or equivalent business intelligence tools; experience with Salesforce reporting, dashboards, and data administration.
