Research Scientist Intern- (Trust and Safety – CV/NLP/Multimodal LLM) – 2026 Start(PhD) | TikTok

• Team: Algorithm team, responsible for computer vision, NLP, and multimodality models and algorithms.
• Mission: Develop cutting-edge content understanding models and optimize training frameworks to protect TikTok’s platform and users from violating content.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Develop: Create computer vision or multimodality models to recognize violating content within TikTok’s platform.
• Explore: Investigate cutting-edge multimodal or computer vision large models, such as CLIP, COCA, ALBEF, BLIP, Flamingo, ViT-G, ViT-22B, or EVA-enormous.
• Apply: Discover applications of Large Language Models (LLM) in business scenarios, including pre-training, zero-shot/few-shot learning, and hard case mining.
• Optimize: Continuously improve the existing training framework to better adapt to the demands of training large models.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Doctorate Degree. PhD candidate in computer science or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: Related research experience in at least one of the following areas: computer vision, multimodality, or LLM.
• Skills: Proficient with at least one deep learning framework (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow), excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, logical thinking skills, communication and collaboration skills.
• Bonus: Published papers in top AI conferences or journals (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NIPS, ICML, ICLR, TPAMI, IJCV).
