AI Process Automation Intern | Sharp Electronics
The Tone:
This is an internship at Sharp Electronics, located in Montvale, NJ. Sharp Electronics is a global technology company that works to empower businesses by efficiently managing workflows, creating immersive environments, and increasing productivity through its secure printer, copier, display, and laptop solutions. This role provides an opportunity to directly support the Supply Chain & Operations division by applying artificial intelligence and process automation to real-world business challenges, contributing to operational efficiency and innovation.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Identify Optimization: Partner with the Supply Chain & Operations division to identify processes that can be optimized through AI-driven automation.
• Automate Data: Work closely with the Sales and Operations Planning team to assist with automating data pipelines and reporting dashboards using Python, SQL, or BI tools.
• Instruct LLM Use: Instruct other team members on how to properly and effectively utilize current LLMs, including Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT.
• Develop AI Models: Develop and test AI/ML models to improve forecast accuracy and inventory optimization.
• Support Analysis: Support scenario planning and sensitivity analysis using AI-driven simulations.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field. This is an early career internship position.
• Experience: Coursework or hands-on experience in AI, machine learning, or process automation is strongly preferred.
• Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bonus: Familiarity with forecasting models and time series analysis; interest in consumer electronics and supply chain innovation.
