This position is crucial for maintaining efficient and organized legal processes, enabling the legal team to focus on core legal work. The role demands an organized and discreet professional capable of managing multiple priorities while working independently.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Preparation: Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and contracts in accordance with California court rules.
• Calendar & Meeting Management: Manage attorney calendars and schedule client meetings, depositions, and hearings.
• Case File Management: Maintain and organize electronic case files, ensuring documents are accurately filed and retrievable.
• Court E-Filing: E-file documents with California state and federal courts using systems such as File & ServeXpress and PACER.
• Deadline & Litigation Tracking: Track case deadlines, statutes of limitations, and litigation calendars to ensure timely action.

The Must-Haves
• Background: High school diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Core domain knowledge in a legal assistant, paralegal, or administrative legal support role is essential.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in a legal assistant, paralegal, or administrative legal support position. Familiarity with California state and federal court procedures and e-filing systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software such as Clio or MyCase. Must be California-based or available during Pacific Time business hours.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary, coupled with high attention to detail. The ability to work independently and reliably in a remote setting is critical, requiring reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated workspace.
• Bonus: A paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program. Experience in civil litigation, family law, immigration, or real estate. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
