• Mission: Owns the business and operational activities of the Anesthesiology department, ensuring compliance and strategic goal achievement.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Direct: Provide administrative direction and coordination for the formulation, interpretation, and administration of policies, procedures, and programs.
• Plan: Collaborate with the division head or chairman to establish short-term and long-range goals and objectives consistent with health system policies and regulations.
• Finance: Oversee financial management, including planning budget needs, completing the annual budget, and monitoring the department’s financial status.
• HR: Interpret and administer policies regarding hiring, payroll, appointments, promotions, placement, orientation, and performance appraisals for all faculty and staff.
• Comply: Assure comprehensive compliance with regulatory, insurance, ethical standards, and quality assurance programs from accrediting agencies like JCAHO and CARF.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Applicable leadership experience and education in healthcare administration or health science.
• Experience: 7+ years of experience in health care finance or administration, including strategic planning and execution, policy formulation, financial plan development, resource management, and leading successful teams.
• Skills: Strategic planning, financial management, human resources administration, regulatory compliance oversight, operational coordination.
• Bonus: Master’s degree, preferred in healthcare administration or health science.
