Job Description: Actuarial Summer Scholar
This internship offers the opportunity to work with almost every company to solve the world’s biggest problems.
What you’ll do:
• Build financial & mathematical models: You’ll contribute to improving organizational performance and helping clients make informed business decisions by creating and refining models.
• Advise clients on complex business problems: You’ll interpret large data sets using statistical methods to quantify risk and provide insightful recommendations.
• Focus on a specific area of actuarial practice: Choose to specialize in one of the following areas:
• Health: Focus on healthcare-related actuarial analysis.
• Property & Casualty: Develop expertise in insurance for property and casualty risks.
• Life: Gain experience in actuarial work related to life insurance and annuities.
• Rewards & Wellbeing: Contribute to actuarial analysis for employee benefits and wellness programs.
• Mergers & Acquisitions: Apply actuarial skills to mergers and acquisitions transactions.
The Team:
• Specialization and learning: You’ll have the chance to leverage existing skills while expanding your knowledge in broader market trends.
• Portfolio structure: The internship program is designed to support your growth, whether you focus on a specific area or explore the entire breadth of actuarial consulting.

Required Qualifications:
• Enrollment: Be currently enrolled in a full-time academic program with a target graduation date by Spring/Summer 2026.
• Major: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Work authorization: Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship.
• Academic performance: Strong academic record with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (3.2 preferred).
• Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on project needs.
• Age: Must be at least 18 years old at the time of employment.
Compensation: The estimated wage range for this role is $39/hour.
