Accounts Payable Specialist – Hybrid | Acuity Eye Group

The Accounts Payable Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining financial accuracy and operational efficiency. This position ensures prompt and accurate processing of vendor invoices, providing essential day-to-day support to the wider Accounting/Finance department.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Invoice Processing: Set up invoices in the accounting system, audit supporting documents, and verify proper GL coding.
• Payment Management: Sort, scan, and upload vendor invoices into Tipalti, assisting with payment posting and rent rolls.
• Stakeholder Support: Answer vendor, employee, and contractor payment inquiries and cultivate vendor relationships for accurate invoice collection.
• Expense Reporting: Review and audit employee expense reports for accuracy and process outgoing checks.
• Administrative Assistance: Receive, open, sort, distribute accounting mail, maintain organized files, and manage office supply inventory.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Equivalent to a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Experience: At least one or more years of related work experience.
• Skills: Strong typing and data entry skills by touch, including 10-key; detailed and organized; ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Bonus: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; knowledge of Word and Excel; experience in the Ophthalmic industry.
