Franklin Precision Castings is a company that seeks an Accounting Specialist to support its core financial operations. This position is vital for maintaining the accuracy of financial records and ensuring timely payroll processing. It provides essential support to both accounting and HR functions within a busy office setting.

• Mission: Owns accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and biweekly payroll.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Payable Processing: Enter and process accounts payable invoices accurately and timely, matching them with supporting documentation and purchase orders.
• Accounts Receivable Entry: Enter customer invoices and related accounts receivable transactions when required.
• Biweekly Payroll Management: Assist with processing biweekly payroll through Paycor, entering and verifying adjustments, deductions, and other payroll-related information.
• Financial Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate vendor and customer records, organized accounting documentation, and assist with resolving invoice discrepancies.
• General Office & Accounting Support: Assist with daily accounting tasks, provide general office support including answering phones and processing mail, and contribute to month-end activities when needed.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or payroll functions is preferred.
• Experience: Demonstrated proficiency in strong computer and data-entry skills, along with the ability to meet recurring payroll and accounting deadlines.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, accuracy, excellent organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to work with confidential information.
• Bonus: Experience with specific software such as Paycor, Sage, or Synchro is a plus, and manufacturing or industrial accounting experience is helpful.
