AP/AR Specialist | Jet Parts Engineering

The Tone:
This is a part-time temporary role at Jet Parts Engineering, operating within a hybrid work environment with one remote day per week. Jet Parts Engineering is a successful private equity owned aerospace company. This position is crucial for supporting an experienced finance team by managing various accounting activities. The role ensures the smooth operation of accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, which are vital for the company’s financial health.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounts Receivable Management: Perform various functions related to accounts receivable, including recording receipts, applying cash, posting invoices, managing collections, and overseeing credit management.
• Accounts Payable Processing: Handle diverse accounts payable tasks such as entering invoices, ensuring purchase order three-way matching, and processing payments efficiently.
• Audit Support: Provide assistance with internal and external financial and tax audits by compiling necessary documentation and supporting requests.
• General Accounting Support: Contribute to other areas of the accounting department as needed, assisting operations and performing duties not explicitly listed in this description.
• Special Projects: Take on additional duties, responsibilities, and special projects as they are assigned by the finance team.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in business management, Finance, or Accounting preferred.
• Experience: 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
• Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with a working knowledge of office processes and related computer software.
• Bonus: Prior experience in a distribution and/or manufacturing background is preferred, as is experience working with ERP systems.
