This foundational role is crucial for an early career accounting professional to build broad, full-cycle experience within a modern, growing finance function. • Mission: To develop broad, full-cycle accounting expertise by managing month-end close, general ledger, project accounting, and billing support functions.
• Tech Stack: Unanet, Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Month-End Close: Support the monthly and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• General Ledger: Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger and complete balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Project Accounting: Manage project accounting within Unanet, covering project setup, tracking labor and consultant costs, and project closeout.
• Client Billing: Assist with work-in-progress (WIP) tracking and support the client billing cycle.
• Compliance & Support: Prepare 1099 filings and property tax reports, assemble tax packages for external CPAs, and provide backup for accounts payable and receivable.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or equivalent experience; recent graduates are welcome. A solid grasp of accounting fundamentals including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and the basics of month-end close, along with a basic understanding of GAAP.
• Experience: Internship or early professional accounting experience is a plus.
• Skills: Strong Excel skills and comfort learning new systems; strong attention to detail, organization, and communication.
