The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid Accounting Manager role at Groupe SEB, requiring regular on-site presence across Irvine, CA and Montebello, CA. As a subsidiary focused on professional coffee machines in North America, SEB Professional relies on this role as a key member of its finance team. The Accounting Manager is essential for coordinating all accounting topics between internal stakeholders and the Shared Service Center, managing local accounting tasks, leading internal control campaigns, and supporting external audits for SEB Professional and Wilbur Curtis. This position is vital for maintaining financial accuracy, compliance, and contributing to ongoing business projects.

• Pay: $100,000–$135,000 Annual Salary + Annual Bonus Potential up to 5% of annual salary.
• Mission: This person will oversee accounting coordination, local accounting operations, internal controls, and project contributions for SEB Professional and Wilbur Curtis to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Coordinate accounting communications: Manage the relationship and serve as the primary contact for all accounting-related inquiries between local SEB Professional and Wilbur Curtis teams and the Shared Service Center (SSC).
• Oversee monthly closing: Coordinate the monthly financial closing process, including reviewing Profit & Loss (P&L) and balance sheet accounts, in collaboration with the local finance team and the SSC.
• Manage local accounting operations: Direct all local accounting tasks for both companies, covering fixed asset management, coordination of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) activities, and analytical review of balance sheet accounts.
• Lead internal controls: Spearhead the local Internal Control campaign, ensuring coordination with all departments and timely submission of required financial control checks for Finance.
• Support external audit: Contribute to the external audit by coordinating preparation with the SSC team and developing presentations for audit conclusions.
• Contribute to projects: Actively participate and contribute to various company projects, such as contract lifecycle management, new payroll service provider, or transport management systems.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, serving in a managerial capacity.
• Experience: At least 7 years of experience as a Senior Accountant, preferably within an international business setting.
• Skills: Strong leadership, effective communication, strategic thinking and planning, robust organizational abilities, and a collaborative approach within a global team.
• Bonus: CPA or CFA certification, proficiency with SAP and/or JDE, and experience working with a Shared Service Center (SSC).
