Dallas Spring 2027 & Summer 2027 Accounting Internship | The Bonadio Group
The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at The Bonadio Group, located in Dallas, Texas. The Bonadio Group is a professional services firm that provides accounting, tax, and assurance services to a variety of clients. This internship allows students to launch their public accounting careers by engaging in hands-on work and receiving mentorship within a supportive environment. Interns perform meaningful accounting work, collaborate with experienced professionals, and gain firsthand exposure to public accounting challenges and rewards.
The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Type: Part-time (Spring approx. 20-25 hours/week; Summer approx. 36 hours/week)
• Location: In-person, Dallas, TX
• Pay: $30 hourly
• Team: Collaborates with experienced accounting professionals including Staff Accountants, Senior Accountants, Managers, Principals, and Partners.
• Mission: Contribute to real client engagements and develop technical skills in public accounting through hands-on experience and mentorship.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office applications
What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare and analyze financial documentation, which includes individual, small business, and corporate tax returns.
• Assist with tax research, planning projects, and Technical Accounting Standards Update (ASU) initiatives.
• Collaborate with experienced tax and assurance professionals on diverse client engagements.
• Support the audit process by participating in year-end audit engagements and Employee Benefit Plan (EBP) engagements.
• Contribute to specialized projects within the Efficiency Center and innovation initiatives focused on improving processes.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Active enrollment in an accredited bachelor’s or master’s in accounting program, with coursework supporting progress toward CPA eligibility.
• Experience: Entry-level position, no prior professional experience required; academic coursework provides foundational knowledge.
• Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent organizational and analytical abilities; attention to detail and commitment to accuracy; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
