What You’ll Actually Do
• Participate in various projects directly related to the Accounting Department’s functions and goals.
• Support the Accounting Department by gaining practical, hands-on experience within core accounting processes.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of La-Z-Boy’s business strategy, processes, and overall business acumen.
• Collaborate as an integral part of the team, obtaining exposure to a variety of different company processes.
• Present a summary of accomplishments and provide feedback on the internship experience to leaders and fellow interns at the program’s conclusion.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program focused on Accounting, having completed 2-3 years of study.
• Experience: Demonstrated strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proven ability to work effectively in both team-based environments and independently.
• Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Strong organizational capabilities and a critical eye for accuracy and attention to detail. The ability to handle highly sensitive information while maintaining strict confidentiality.
