• Mission: Assist with core accounting processes and financial operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping and supporting audit preparation.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Close: Assist with monthly financial close procedures, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Expense Processing: Review and process credit card transactions, AMEX expenses, marketing invoices, and departmental expenses.
• Account Tracking: Assist with tracking accrued liabilities, expense accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Reporting Support: Support the preparation and presentation of budget reports and financial analyses.
• Audit Preparation: Compile financial records, schedules, and supporting documentation for internal and external audits.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Foundational knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), account reconciliations, balance sheet accounts, fixed assets, and depreciation.
• Experience: 0–2 years of accounting experience; public accounting, auditing, or internship experience is a plus.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with team members and learn new accounting processes.
• Bonus: Internship or other hands-on experience in accounting, finance, or public accounting. Exposure to financial audits, audit documentation, and audit preparation. Familiarity with ERP systems or accounting software. Experience as a teaching assistant for accounting courses.
