Accounting Internship – Spring 2027 | Superior

The Tone:
This is an Accounting Internship at Superior, located in Columbus, Ohio. This role provides students with invaluable hands-on experience, working directly with accounting Managers and the Director to gain exposure to critical accounting functions such as month-end closing, financial reporting, and year-end audit support. • Team: Works under the guidance of the accounting team, alongside accounting Managers and the Director of accounting.
• Mission: To gain exposure to various accounting functions including month-end closing, financial reporting, and year-end audit support.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Month-End Close: Execute month-end close procedures, preparing journal entries and completing account reconciliations.
• Financial Transactions: Document and validate various financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, payments, and expenses.
• Audit Support: Contribute to year-end audits by compiling and submitting required financial documentation and data.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze and summarize financial statements and individual transactions to support reporting.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting.
• Experience: No prior professional experience required; academic pursuit of an accounting degree is key.
• Skills: Financial transaction recording, account reconciliation, data analysis, documentation management.
