• Mission: This person will support the Accounting Department by managing sales tax-related debits, credits, and exemption certificates to ensure accurate financial records.
• Tech Stack: CertifyTax, Vertex

What You’ll Actually Do
• Release customer debits and credits specifically related to sales tax requests.
• Assist in processing the backlog of customer debits and credits.
• Manually push through debits and credits to prevent them from being bulked together.
• Conduct outreach to customers to secure missing sales tax exemption certificates.
• Cross-check and update exemption certificates within CertifyTax and Vertex systems.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Foundational understanding of accounting principles, suitable for an internship.
• Experience: No specific prior experience required; opportunity to gain hands-on experience with financial data management and customer interaction.
• Skills: Attention to detail for processing financial adjustments, clear communication for customer outreach, and organizational ability for managing certificates.
