The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at Marucci Sports, located in Baton Rouge, LA. Marucci Sports, founded by former MLB players, designs and manufactures high-quality baseball bats and sports equipment, now recognized as the Official Bat of Major League Baseball. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting functions that underpin the company’s continued growth and success. The Accounting Intern will provide essential support to the accounting team and contribute to special projects.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Administrative & Team Support: Assist with administrative work and provide daily support to the accounting team.
• General Ledger Entries: Post journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in financial records.
• Invoice Processing: Match, verify, code, and process purchase order invoices efficiently.
• Inventory Cost Allocation: Accurately allocate freight, duties, and tariffs to inventory items.
• Credit Card Management: Process credit card refunds in the accounting system and reconcile credit card invoices, payments, and refunds.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. High school diploma or equivalent required, with foundational understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience: No specific years of experience required. Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Bonus: Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
