Accounting Internship, Payroll | Delaware North

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reconciliations: Perform detailed balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Journal Entries: Prepare accurate general ledger journal entries.
• Audit Support: Prepare thorough responses to audit requests from both internal and external auditors.
• Stakeholder Communication: Field questions from various stakeholders across the organization, providing insightful information and escalating complex issues to management as necessary.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Undergraduate or graduate student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Experience: Demonstrated working knowledge of core accounting principles and practical experience with Microsoft Office applications, including proficiency in Excel.
• Skills:
• Strong ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders across the business.
• Solid understanding of payroll laws and regulations, including their potential financial impact on the business and employees.
• Proven capability to prioritize tasks and multitask efficiently, producing high-quality work in a results-driven environment.
• Bonus: Prior experience with automation tools, specifically Alteryx and Excel Macros.
